Also called flyers, flits or flyers, airvees are airborne passenger conveyances. Airvee is the industry standard name, but also a trademarked product line from Tealeaf Vehicular Magineering. Most common in the one or two passenger varieties, models capable of carrying a score or more are also available. These high occupancy vehicles are usually called - and trademarked - Airhovs (pronounced Ayr-hoves). A Certification of Competence (CoC) is required to operate an Airvee and regular recertification is mandatory every two years. Airvees operate from ground level to an altitude not to exceed 1km. Violations of Airvee operation can result in penalties or fines, with repeated violations carrying the possibility of penal service or mandatory indenture.
